Mauritius standards

Check the recognition that matters

A certificate of attendance is not the same as a regulated qualification or professional licence. Where approval is relevant, we will identify the exact status for that intake in writing.

  • Formal award programmes must follow the applicable Mauritius accreditation process.
  • Nursing CPD credit applies only when the scheduled activity is approved by the Nursing Council.
  • Short-course participation never expands a learner’s legal scope of practice.
Questions, answered

Before you register

Are these courses MQA accredited?

Accreditation or approval status will be stated in writing for each intake. RiseXcel will not describe a programme as MQA accredited unless that specific programme has been approved and appears in the relevant official records.

Do nurse-focused courses carry Nursing Council CPD points?

CPD points are not automatic. If Nursing Council approval is obtained for a scheduled event, the approved points and event details will be confirmed in writing before enrolment or payment.

Will I receive a certificate?

Participants who meet the attendance and participation requirements may receive a certificate of attendance or completion for the stated short course. It is not a nursing licence or professional qualification unless explicitly documented otherwise.

Where will training take place?

Training is Mauritius-based. The confirmed venue, access information and timetable will be included in the written intake pack before enrolment.

Can an employer request a private cohort?

Yes. Clinics, care homes, NGOs and home-care teams can request a tailored group session. Content, learner roles, venue and regulatory requirements are agreed before delivery.

Do I pay when I register my interest?

No. Registering interest is free and does not reserve a paid place. Fees and payment terms are sent only after the course, trainer, venue and approval status have been confirmed.
